The main reading room possesses a well - prepared and properly organised and equipped place of work with alphabetical, thematical and additional catalogues (amongst others a catalogue of books dating back to 1939, a catalogue of library series and regional catalogues from Galicia, Rzeszów, Nowy Sącz, Gorlice and its surroundings and catalogues of special collections).
      In the library of Gorlice precious publications were the so-called Galicjana, and rare printed materials which were accumulated from book - lovers. These are in demand with readers beyond the region of Gorlice. Galicjana contain several hundred acquisitions primarily from antique - dealers' auctions. To the most precious of these belong:
